Ron Gillett a recently retired AWSD Board of Directors member, a longtime resident and business owner in  Anthony passed away last Saturday morning. Ron helped shape the district's business and remained a valued, trusted, and astute member of the community at large. His service to the district lasted for two decades until his recent resignation due to ill health. Immediately his wisdom, wit, and charm were missed along with interesting discussions about CU football, politics, and the history of the lower valley hereabouts.  

Ron's services are scheduled for 1PM this Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Restlawn Cemetery, 8800 Dyer Street, in Northeast El Paso. After the graveside service, the family invites attendees to a celebration of Ron's long and valuable life at Pepe's Restaurant, 6761 Doniphan Drive in Canutillo.
